2-Hour Defensive Essentials Workshop for First Responders

Duration: 2 hours

Fee: R847-00 per participant

 

Workshop Content

Module 1: Responder Safety Related to Subjects Under Care

  • Situational analysis and decision making steps
  • Defensive perimeter considerations at the scene of a response
  • Ethical, legal, and non-violent restraining techniques for violent subjects under care


Module 2: External Threat Defensive Component

  • Criminal encounter: compliance vs active defense
  • Basic targets, strikes, and immobilization techniques
  • Escapes and counters vs grabs, holds, and chokes
  • Defenses and counters vs attempted sexual assault

Module 3: Armed Threats

  • Basic disarming and defensive techniques vs an armed subject or criminal intruder

Please note: we require a minimum of 4 participants in order to facilitate a workshop.
